Patricia J. Numann, MD, FACS, the Lloyd S. Rogers Professor of Surgery Emeritus, Distinguished Service Professor, and Distinguished Teaching Professor Emeritus at the State University of New York (SUNY), was installed as President of the American College of Surgeons (ACS) during Convocation ceremonies on October 23 at the 97th Clinical Congress in San Francisco, CA. Also installed during the Convocation was Robert K. Bahnson, MD, FACS, Columbus, OH, as First Vice-President. A urologic surgeon, Dr. Bahnson is professor and chairman of the department of urology, and The Dave Longaberger Chair in Urology at the Ohio State University College of Medicine, Columbus.
